Testimonials

FBF has provided me with a safe space to talk about the complexities of Black womanhood, especially in a white-centered North American society. I always felt comfortable expressing my thoughts, and I am extremely grateful for the wisdom, support, and guidance that were bestowed upon me.SE Toronto

When I started with Future Black Female, I was struggling with self-esteem issues and going through a breakup. I had sessions once a week for several months. I was able to develop healthier habits towards myself by beginning to work as hard at taking care of myself on the inside as I did on the outside. Future Black Female helped me to make hard decisions when it came to my relationship, which may have been difficult in the moment but in hindsight were necessary. It was a transformative experience that shaped my self-worth going into relationships today and also influenced the way I see myself. CI Manitoba

Finding myself and trying to navigate my 20s was and is one of the hardest experiences. It felt incredibly daunting because I didn’t know where to turn. I’ve tried other forms of therapy before and never actually clicked with the therapist because sometimes it’s hard to explain your world to someone who looks nothing like you and has different experiences from you. When I found Future Black Female, and they looked like me and came from countries like me, it felt like finally someone could understand me more than previous experiences. VK International Student
